These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of salt-booths.com and any services Salt Booths provides. By using the site or booking with us, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book with us.
1. The booking
A booking is confirmed once we receive your signed agreement and the deposit (see Section 2). Until both are received, your event date is not held. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
2. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total package price is due to lock your date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event. Late payment may result in cancellation of your booking, in which case the deposit is forfeited.
We accept credit/debit cards, ACH transfers, and Venmo / Zelle. Returned payments are subject to a $25 fee plus actual bank charges.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
- You may reschedule for free up to 30 days before your event, subject to our availability for the new date.
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the event result in loss of the deposit (50%).
- Cancellations within 30 days of the event are charged the full package amount, regardless of payment status.
- Salt Booths reserves the right to cancel due to events outside our control (severe weather, equipment failure, illness). In that case we issue a full refund of any amounts paid, including the deposit.
4. Setup, attendant, and venue
You're responsible for ensuring the venue allows photo booth installation, that there's adequate space (typically 8x8 ft, 10x10 ft for the 360°), and that there's safe access for our equipment and team. If on arrival the venue refuses entry or the space is unworkable, the event may be canceled with no refund.
We arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled start. If our attendant is delayed by traffic or weather, we'll let you know as soon as possible and extend the event end time at no charge to compensate, when feasible.
5. Money-back setup guarantee
If we cannot get your booth running at your event due to our equipment failure, you receive a full refund of the rental. This guarantee covers the booth rental itself; it does not extend to consequential damages.
6. Photos, videos, and audio recordings
You retain ownership of photos, videos, and audio recordings created at your event. We retain a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use a small selection of those materials in our marketing (website, social media, ads), unless you opt out in writing before the event. Guests at your event consent to having their photo taken in the booth as part of their participation. Guests may request a specific photo be removed from any marketing by emailing us.
7. SMS and email communication
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Salt Booths regarding your inquiry or booking. Marketing texts are separate: we only send those if you check the optional "Text me too" box on a form, and checking it is never a condition of booking. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. 8. Liability
Salt Booths provides photo booth services. We're not responsible for guest behavior at your event, damage caused by guests to our equipment (which is your responsibility under Section 9), or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the rental.
Our maximum liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the total amount paid for that booking.
9. Damage to equipment
You're responsible for any damage caused to our equipment by your guests during your event, beyond normal wear. We'll send you an itemized invoice for repair or replacement if necessary.
10. Intellectual property
The Salt Booths name, logo, and website content are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or use them without written permission, except for normal browsing of the site.
11. Use of the website
You agree not to misuse the website: no scraping, attacking, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or interfering with its operation. Quote forms are for legitimate inquiries only.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
