1. Who we are
Salt Booths is a photo booth rental business based in West Jordan, Utah. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", we mean Salt Booths. When it says "you" or "your", we mean visitors to salt-booths.com, anyone who fills out a quote form, and anyone whose event we run.
2. What we collect
We collect:
- Information you give us through forms: your name, email, phone number, event date, venue, city, the type of event, and any details you share when reserving.
- Automatic technical info: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit on this site, and how you got here. This is standard server log + analytics data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.
- At the event: photos and videos taken in our booth. Guests choose to participate. We give you a digital gallery afterward and may use a small selection in marketing if your contract permits.
3. How we use it
- To send you a quote and follow up about your event.
- To run your event smoothly (delivering photos, handling logistics, billing).
- To send transactional SMS or email related to your booking, including confirmations, schedule changes, and day-of coordination.
- To improve the website, marketing, and operations.
- To occasionally market to past clients (newsletters, special offers). You can unsubscribe anytime.
4. Cookies and tracking pixels
This site uses cookies and pixel-based tracking technologies. Categories:
- Strictly necessary: small files that keep the site working (form state, the quote modal's session memory, the intro animation's session flag).
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, which counts visits, tracks pages viewed, and helps us understand how people use the site. Anonymous, aggregate data.
- Advertising / conversion pixels: Meta Pixel (Facebook + Instagram), Google Ads conversion tracking, and similar tools we may add. These let us run ads and measure whether they work. They can identify you across sites if you've given consent on other sites.
- Call tracking: if we use CallRail or a similar service, the phone number on the site may be dynamically swapped to track which campaign drove the call. Your call audio may be recorded for quality.
You can decline non-essential cookies through the banner that appears on your first visit. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics with the official opt-out add-on.
5. SMS and text messaging (TCPA)
By giving us your phone number on a quote form, you consent to receive SMS messages from Salt Booths related to your inquiry, your booking, and the day-of running of your event. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies depending on event timeline, typically 0 to 6 messages between booking and event day.
We will not use your phone number for unrelated marketing without separate, explicit consent.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You can text HELP for help. If you opt out, we'll stop sending non-essential messages but may still need to reach you about an active booking by phone or email.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS in the United States is provided by US-based carriers; we don't share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Sharing your information
We share information only with:
- Service providers we use to run the business: email delivery (e.g., Resend, Mailgun, Gmail), CRM and quote routing (Zapier and the platforms it connects to), payment processors, hosting (Cloudflare), and analytics. They get only what they need to do their job and they're contractually bound to protect it.
- Vendors at your event if necessary to run the event, for example, a venue coordinator we coordinate load-in with.
- Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or someone else's safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Photos taken at events
Photos and videos guests take in our booth belong to you, the host, per your booking contract. Guests who use the booth have an opportunity to opt out of being included in any post-event marketing. If you'd like a photo removed from our website, social, or any marketing material, email us and we'll do it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws, including the right to access the data we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, or opt out of certain types of processing. Utah residents have rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise any rights, email sales@salt-booths.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
9. Data retention
We keep quote-form information and event records for as long as needed to run your event and meet tax and accounting requirements (typically 7 years for financial records). Marketing email lists keep your info until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default (14 months unless we change it).
10. Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you think we've collected such information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes or as laws change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted prominently on the site.
