By engaging Salt Booths (a DBA of PlainMedia LLC) for any rental service, you agree to the terms below. These supplement but do not replace our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
-
01 How you agree
By paying any amount, you agree to these Master Rental Terms.
-
02 Booking and payments
- A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date.
- The remaining balance is due in full before the event start time.
- The deposit is nonrefundable.
-
03 Minimum rental
A minimum rental of two hours is required unless stated otherwise in writing on the estimate.
-
04 Rescheduling
- You may change the event date once at no charge if you request the change at least 30 days before the original event date and if the new date is available.
- Changes requested within 30 days are subject to availability and may require a new deposit at PlainMedia LLC's discretion.
-
05 Cancellations
- If you cancel, the deposit is nonrefundable.
- If you do not pay the remaining balance before the event start time, PlainMedia LLC may treat the booking as cancelled by you.
-
06 Taxes and fees
All applicable taxes and pass-through fees are paid by the client. Utah sales tax applies where required by law.
-
07 Setup requirements
Indoor venues
Client provides a standard grounded power outlet within 25 feet of the setup area and a venue WiFi network with internet access. Client is responsible for coordinating access to power and WiFi with the venue. If venue WiFi is unavailable, PlainMedia LLC can operate offline, but live sharing or gallery features may be limited. A backup hotspot can be provided on request at the rate listed on the estimate.
Outdoor venues
A dedicated power source is required and the setup area must be level and protected from weather. A tent, canopy, or covered structure is required when there is risk of sun, wind, or precipitation. Generators and additional power distribution can be provided on request at the rates shown on the estimate. For safety, PlainMedia LLC may pause or relocate service during high wind, active precipitation, or extreme temperatures. Time on site counts as rental time.
Access
Client ensures clear load-in paths and any required permissions or parking. Long cable runs or special venue requirements may result in additional charges as listed on the estimate.
-
08 Care of props, backdrops, and equipment
Props, backdrops, and equipment must be used with reasonable care. Normal wear is expected. Damage, loss, or theft caused by the client or guests is billed at the actual cost to repair or replace. PlainMedia LLC determines repair versus replacement in good faith and provides receipts upon request.
-
09 Overtime and waiting time
Overtime may be available in 30-minute blocks at the rate shown on the estimate or invoice. Unplanned waiting time caused by venue access, late start, or other client-controlled delays is billed as active rental time.
-
10 Venue rules and access
Client is responsible for securing venue permission, load-in access, and any permits required. If venue rules limit operation in a way that prevents performance, the booking is considered delivered for the time on site.
-
11 Media usage and privacy
Unless you request otherwise in writing before the event, PlainMedia LLC may capture behind-the-scenes content and use non-sensitive clips or images for portfolio and social media. Client remains responsible for obtaining any third-party permissions required by the venue or host.
-
12 Force majeure
If events outside either party's control make performance impracticable, including severe weather, utility failure, or government action, each party is excused for the period of the event. Deposits remain nonrefundable. The parties will work in good faith to reschedule under Section 4.
-
13 Liability limit
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PlainMedia LLC's total liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the total amount paid for the affected booking. In no event will either party be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
-
14 Overdue balances
Invoices not paid when due may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed by law. Client agrees to pay reasonable costs of collection including attorney fees where permitted by law.
-
15 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and the parties consent to that jurisdiction.
-
16 Service-specific terms
The following sections add service-specific details that apply in addition to the general terms above. If there is a conflict, the service-specific section controls for that service.
16.1 Photo booth
Two-hour minimum applies. See the estimate for included backdrop, props, prints or digital delivery, and any travel.
16.2 Audio guestbook
Standard rental is 24 hours unless otherwise specified on the estimate. Client is responsible for the safe return of the unit and accessories by the agreed time.
16.3 Drone and aerial
Operations are subject to weather, airspace restrictions, and on-site safety assessment. Client is responsible for any permits and location access.
16.4 Event photo and video
